How can a kidney dietitian help me? – leaflet to better understand the role of a dietitian 

The British Dietitian Association Renal Specialist Group have developed a number of resources for low potassium diets incorporating Far Eastern Asian, Chinese, African, Caribbean foods, these are not free and cost between £9-15 for multi-packs of 10-20, ask your renal dietitian if they have them available. 

The National Kidney Federation has a page offering advice on healthy eating and the information can be downloaded in a pdf.  

It is always important to discuss your diet with your local dietician – contact them through your renal unit or local KIN site ask other patients how they eat out and watch their diet in the KIN groups
